THE AUCTION

Whatever you want to sell or buy, you'll discover that
an auction can be the best way!

Auctions are not distress sales, not a last resort action to be taken.  An auction is simply another place to buy what you want -- another marketing method to sell what you have at a fair market priceAuctions are interesting "people" events, and have been for centuries.  It's hard to imagine anything that is not sold at auction -- everything from books, to condominiums, to produce, to equipment of any and every kind.

First Choice Auction Company would like to acquaint you with the auction method of selling.

Auctions are as modern as computers, yet as old as mankind.  Recorded history describes auctions in 500 B.C. and later during the Roman Empire.  The Oxford English Dictionary of 1595 is the earliest English reference to the auction.
And everything has been selling well at auction ever since.

The auction method is a modern application of a time-honored idea.  The auction industry is a people-oriented profession, providing satisfying service to both buyer and seller.

The Concept of 'Market Value'

How can you be sure the auction method is your best choice?  Because you are sure of getting "market value."
This is the price a buyer will pay and a seller will accept.  In fact, all business is based on the principle underlying the auction:  The sale is made on the basis of what the buyer is willing to pay.

Examples of business transacted daily on this principle:

REAL ESTATE -- There are not set prices on houses and other property.
The price the buyer is willing to pay sets the fair market value.

AUTOMOBILES -- The book your banker uses to ascertain the value of your car is a
compilation of auto auction prices received from across the country.

GOVERNMENT ASSETS -- When selling any asset, the courts and government usually use the auction method,
assuring them of fair prices and a quick sale.

FUR, LAND, TOBACCO, ANTIQUES, STOCK EXCHANGE STOCKS --
All are sold every day by auction.

THE AUCTION MARKETPLACE

The auction method is an excellent marketplace for buying or selling.
Several excellent reasons to sell by auction are:

  • Compare:  The auction method can outperform any other marketing method for whateveryou have to sell.
When you sell one to one, you accept one person's judgement as to value, but when you sell by auction,
you have the benefit of several people bidding competitively at the same time.

  • Competition among buyers for your property or possession is greatly increased at an auction.

  • You decide when to sell.  Only by auction can you pick the day and hour you wish to sell.
Save time and bring the buyers to you.

  • The auction method is a quick and efficient means of converting your
property, possession or inventory into cash.

  • Anything you own in real or personal property can be sold through an auction.
